The best working relationship is one where expectations are clearly laid out from the outset. We hope the following will clarify what you can expect from us to begin with.

We Work as a Team

Katanamite Interactive is run as a multidisciplinary collaborative and operates on the principal of matching the right person with the right project. Team members for your project are carefully selected based on expertise and project needs. After your initial contact with our sales team, be prepared to work closely with your project manager, information architect, designer and developer.

What Projects Will We Take On?

We are faced with the situation where the demand for our time is too great to take on every project that comes our way. We apologize for that, but we want to continue to focus creating unique online experiences rooted in quality not quantity.

We Are Interested In Following Types of Projects:

- Community sites and Social Networking. Wives and grandmas are taking to the web en masse and stealing the web away from anti-social boys and making the web more human & machine accessible. We love that. We want to perpetuate that movement in any way we can and help compel your unique community with an engaging online experience.

- Bringing old companies out of the stone age and into web 3.0 (whatever that is). We love to improve the user experience of old web sites and make them more standards compliant and accessible while providing them with all the AJAX and community features required to compete in today's hyper-competitive web landscape.

- International sites. We love travel and culture and specialize in multi-lingual sites and working with clients from all over the world.

We Typically Turn Away These Projects:

- Static Brochure sites. We've made our fair share of these. It's not that we are 'above them' in any way, but given the choice between ho hum and ground breaking, we'll pick the one that excites us most. And we do have that choice. If your site does not involve any community interaction or dynamic content, we'll have to pass on it.

- We hear a lot of sad tales of client / developer relationships going sour and halting a project midst development. We're sorry to hear that, but we are not looking to salvage broken websites mid project. We would love to work with you but we prefer to start from zero. (This doesn't include adding features to existing working sites, or doing site maintenance, we'd be happy to help with that!)

- Very tight deadlines. We are not slow by any standards. However in our experience we often found that companies in too much of a rush don't benefit from the results of proper planning.

- Speculative Design. We don't do design work "on spec". Please decide whether you would like to work with us on the merit of our portfolio and the personal portfolio's of our designers.

However... These are coarse guidelines we use. If you have a social cause we can get behind or have a site idea that's just plain awesome, forget the above. We want to work with you!
